Rick Cresswell MA, BA (Hons.)

Rick Cresswell began his career in building and decorating at just 16 years old, working on some of the prestigious hotels along Marine Parade in Folkestone, Kent. That early experience laid the foundation for a career built on craftsmanship, creativity and an exceptional understanding of design and construction.

Over the years, Rick has developed a diverse range of expertise spanning architectural design, 3D visualisation and fly-throughs, structural foundations, new-build homes, loft conversions, interior design, painting and decorating. His extensive experience has also included working alongside some of the UK’s leading housebuilders, including Persimmon Homes, Charles Church and Wimpey.

Alongside his construction and design expertise, Rick has a strong creative background. He holds numerous qualifications and degrees in art, design, photography and aesthetics, bringing a unique artistic perspective to every project.

This combination of hands-on building experience, technical knowledge and creative vision allows Rick to approach projects from every angle — from the initial concept and visualisation through to construction, finishing and final presentation.

Oh, and I went to a proper art school who taught carpentry, metal work and ceramics as well as painting so I am a bit OSD about the detail.

Part of the fun of projects is getting to site on time. If we’ve planned to start at 6, 7, 8 or 9 I’ll be there then.

If we all stick to the plan and there are no hidden nasties we’ll come in on price. To the penny!

DESIGN

I’m a qualified, experienced designer, so if you don’t have plans, I can create them. From initial ideas through to detailed drawings, I’ll help develop a design that looks right, works properly and can actually be built.


BUILDING

Good design is only half the job. I bring the same attention to detail and craftsmanship to the build, working with trusted trades and suppliers to turn the design into a finished project, properly built and without cutting corners.


FINISHING

The finishing touches matter. I’m particular about the details, making sure everything is fitted, finished and working as it should. It’s often the last 5% that makes the biggest difference — and I’m not happy until it’s right.
